My name is Debora and I was at the Synod Assembly in June. I attended the workshop “Walking the Prayer Labyrinth” and I had an experience that deeply impacted me. As I walked the labyrinth, I was pondering the question, “What will happen next?” in my head. As I walked and meditated, a message came in my head, and I wrote this down on the paper provided:
God will provide for you. Be not afraid for I am with you, in all that you do and everywhere you go.
This was meaningful to me because I have a personal issue going on in my life that is very stressful and I need God’s help with. The next day at the closing Assembly Worship, I was following the service with my tablet, and in the service I saw these words in capital letters–plain as day:
BE NOT AFRAID FOR I AM WITH YOU
I just assumed it was part of the service, and I thought it was a beautiful coincidence. Perhaps God was giving me a message.
The next day I went back into my tablet and went over the Worship service again, looking specifically for that message. But it was nowhere to be found!
That was when I truly realized it was a message from God to me personally! I have such a profound peace about my situation now! God is truly with me and my family! He is in charge, regardless of the outcome!
I shared the experience with my Pastor and several friends, and I will even share this with my congregation. My whole Synod Assembly experience was awesome and memorable! God is good all the time and all the time God is good!
