Ministry Administrative Manager

The mission of Holy Cross Lutheran Church (Spring Hill, FL) is to know, live, and share the love of Christ. After prayerful discernment, we are seeking a Ministry Administrative Manager (MAM) to assist us in our mission.

The MAM is called to support the mission of Holy Cross through efficient and effective management of the administrative tasks of the church. This position serves the church ministries and provides direct support to the Pastor. The MAM shall be creative, self-motivated, and passionate about ministry. A genuine love for the Lord and people is an expected intrinsic quality of all candidates.

Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Communications including bulletins, mail, email, newsletters, social media, phone, and correspondence
  • Provide technical support for worship both online and in the sanctuary.
  • Manage the facilities calendar for both church and community groups
  • Order and maintain office and facility supplies
  • Manage building concerns with repair companies and volunteers.
  • Keep membership records
  • Bookkeeping, including the completion of the financial records and disbursement of funds necessary for the general working of the church, including payroll

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of computer programs, especially Microsoft Office, Zoom, and Quickbooks

Expectations:

  • Effective oral & written communication
  • Professional and positive attitude
  • Knowledge of Lutheran or Mainline Denomination liturgics.
  • Able to keep confidential information
  • Able to stay on task independently to meet deadlines
  • Able to work cooperatively with coworkers, congregation, preschool, volunteers, outside groups and church council

Time, Compensation and Benefits:

Hours are Monday to Thursday, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm; Sunday, 8:30 am to 11:30 am and three flex hours for tasks outside of a typical workday.

Pay will be commensurate with experience. The MAM will receive two weeks of paid time off and paid holidays.

Florida-Bahamas Director of Disaster Response

The Director of Disaster Response assists the Florida-Bahamas Synod with building a disaster response infrastructure and implementing it throughout the state. The position is responsible for assisting the Synod and congregations to be prepared and readied to respond to disasters, minister to those dealing with tragedy, and build capacity within our congregations to respond in times of need.
