AFFS Series Concert – Prince of Peace, Largo

Art for Faith's Sake (AFFS) Series Performances All concerts held in the Sanctuary of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church 455 Missouri Ave. Largo, FL 33770   Unless otherwise noted, all concerts are presented free-of-charge. Seating is first come, first serve.   Sunday, October 27 Reformation Sunday Organ Recital 3:00pm Christopher Gage, organist Join us for a recital of organ music of the Reformation. Dr. Gage is Director of Music at Overbrook Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia.

Music for Hope–a Hurricane Dorian Relief Concert

Join the amazing Paul Todd and Paul Todd, Jr. as they perform "Music for Hope," a Hurricane Dorian Relief Benefit Concert at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in South Tampa on Sunday, October 27th at 4:00 PM. A critically acclaimed prolific writer, entertainer, composer, arranger, and singer, Paul Todd has been amazing crowds since he won the prestigious National Yamaha Keyboard Contest at the young age of fourteen. His career began with classmate singer Linda Eder as "The Paul and Linda Show", playing clubs and opening for such celebrities as The Pointer Sisters, Rich Little, The Gatlin Brothers, and Joan Rivers. After beginning his own solo career, Paul has experienced all facets of the music industry, and has headlined in theaters and concert halls worldwide. His Broadway performances include the Beacon Theater, where he performed in a special production of "A Night on Broadway", with Broadway greats: Hinton Battle, Carla Burns, and Danielle Furland. As a Christian artist, he has worked with some of his favorites, including; Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, and Phil Driscol. A love offering will be taken to benefit Lutheran Disaster Relief to aid those affected by Hurricane Dorian.

Boundaries Training

The Boundaries Training workshop that was going to be incorporated into this year’s Conference on Ministry is being rescheduled for a different date, time and location. The boundaries training will instead be offered on Oct. 29, from 9:00-4:00, at Hope Lutheran Church, The Villages. Leaders can RSVP for this training HERE. This training is recommended for rostered ministers (once every 3 years), congregational staff and volunteer ministry leaders. Questions can be sent to Ileana Sardinas (Ileanas@fbsynod.org).

Vitality Training Event–Gulf Coast Conference

Sunday, December 15 6:00pm Santa Lucia Festival of Lessons and Carols A service for choirs and congregation followed by the telling of the story of Santa Lucia and cookie reception. Festival Choir, organ, handbells, and instruments. Free tickets are required for this event, phone the church for more information.
