Linda Rivera, Cristo Rey, Orlando writes about her experience serving on Synod Council and encourages others to to serve!
“About a year ago I was asked if I would be interested in being nominated to be part of the Florida-Bahamas Synod Council. I accepted the nomination and, by God’s grace, was elected at last year’s assembly.
It has been an outstanding learning experience! I have been honored to spend time with Brothers and Sisters in Christ from other congregations, learned of the many ways in which our Church helps and serves those in need.
Because of my involvement with the Synod, I have been able to involve my congregation in a new ministry – Mats of Love Ministry.
Aside from that, I have had the opportunity to make suggestions and bring my own ideas to the table. It has been a blessing in so many ways!
So, why should anyone volunteer to serve in the Synod Council?
The better question is, Why wouldn’t you? Pray about it. Listen to the call and be ready to serve God’s Church through the Florida-Bahamas Synod Council.”
Positions open for election at this synod assembly & nomination form.
