Rev. Kathryn H. Carroll (“Katie”) is an ordained pastor in the ELCA having served in the Miami area for decades. Though no longer serving a parish, Katie continues to be involved with the church through chairing the Florida-Bahamas Global Mission Table, serving on the Candidacy Committee, and providing regular pulpit supply. She is fluent in Spanish and passionate about multicultural ministries. Through her coaching practice, Katie helps individuals dealing with transitions and challenges in their lives. She is married with four adult children and two grandchildren; in her spare time, Katie enjoys jogging, fitness training, reading, and music.

During my time in the corporate world, I rose through sales and marketing to be president of a manufacturing company in the creative industry with $7M in revenue and as many as 90 people. This was my first turn around. I have also coached another company in the services industry with revenue of $2M to a turnaround. I have been in ministry since 2015 and have truly found my calling. Personal and congregational vitality are my passions. I am married with two adult children, two furbabies, and currently serve in the Arkansas Oklahoma Synod.

Rev. Dr. Derek M. Hoven

Helping people move forward and work through transitions has always been part of Derek’s work. This was true in his first career as a business process consultant and remains true in pastoral ministry. Derek is an Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) trained coach who has done most of his coaching with leadership teams and call teams of congregations in transition. Derek has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla, a Master of Divinity from Trinity Lutheran Seminary, and a Doctorate of Ministry in transformational leadership from Trinity Lutheran Seminary at Capital University.
