Reconciling Works Central Florida chapter is planning to lead a B.I.C. (Becoming an Inclusive Church) training in Orlando on October 5. Participants are expected to be from Lutheran, Episcopal, Methodist and other denominations. Enrollment is limited to 24. GLOBAL MISSION FUND-DAY SUNDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2019 Global Mission Fund-Day Ideas Have Sunday School, Bible study class, or Youth Group do display on one or more of our companions – Cuba, Jamaica, Haiti, Guyana and Suriname Include music from our companion countries (or other countries) in worship service Lift up our companions and the Synod Global Mission committee in the prayer of the church Have a luncheon or social hour following worship to include foods from our companion countries Apply for Thrivent Action Team project and get $250 to buy foods for a luncheon or social hour and have people donate money that would go to Global Mission Special Projects Fund Take up a special collection for Global Mission Special Projects, or a companion project (please contact PJ May for ideas) Invite a former YAGM to do a presentation Speak with your pastor, church council, worship & music committee or others to start planning now for your congregation and/or conference to increase awareness of our Global Mission partners and keep Global Mission ALIVE!

Join the amazing Paul Todd and Paul Todd, Jr. as they perform "Music for Hope," a Hurricane Dorian Relief Benefit Concert at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in South Tampa on Sunday, October 27th at 4:00 PM. A critically acclaimed prolific writer, entertainer, composer, arranger, and singer, Paul Todd has been amazing crowds since he won the prestigious National Yamaha Keyboard Contest at the young age of fourteen. His career began with classmate singer Linda Eder as "The Paul and Linda Show", playing clubs and opening for such celebrities as The Pointer Sisters, Rich Little, The Gatlin Brothers, and Joan Rivers. After beginning his own solo career, Paul has experienced all facets of the music industry, and has headlined in theaters and concert halls worldwide. His Broadway performances include the Beacon Theater, where he performed in a special production of "A Night on Broadway", with Broadway greats: Hinton Battle, Carla Burns, and Danielle Furland. As a Christian artist, he has worked with some of his favorites, including; Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, and Phil Driscol. A love offering will be taken to benefit Lutheran Disaster Relief to aid those affected by Hurricane Dorian.

The Boundaries Training workshop that was going to be incorporated into this year’s Conference on Ministry is being rescheduled for a different date, time and location. The boundaries training will instead be offered on Oct. 29, from 9:00-4:00, at Hope Lutheran Church, The Villages. Leaders can RSVP for this training HERE.
