Serving as Synod Assembly Chaplain this year is Jessica Bunger, Associate in Ministry.

Jess is rostered as an Associate in Ministry and has been serving in the areas of Christian Education and Youth Ministry at Gateway Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Myers since 2010.

She received a Master of Arts in Youth, Culture & Mission from Wartburg Theological Seminary in 2004 as well as a Certificate in Youth and Family Ministry in 2001.

She is married to the Rev. Sean Bunger and together they have a Lego-lovin’ son, Seth, who is 11 years-old.

Jess has a passion for photography as well as fitness.  A native Cheesehead and U-WI alumni, she also loves to cheer on the Badgers and the Pack.

The Synod Assembly Chaplain is available for prayer or conversation. Any member of the assembly may place a prayer request or ask for a meeting with the chaplain by placing a card in the basket near the baptismal font.
