Interim Ministry Network Annual Conference–St. Louis, MO
June 18 - June 21
Annual Conference for the Interim Ministry Network (IMN)
This is an international organization on the cutting edge of training and support of those engaged in the specialized ministry of transition. Each year there is an annual conference with themes and speakers directed toward this work. It is made up of many denominations and different faith groups. Though the context may change, it has been discovered that the essentials of this ministry are the same. The speakers and workshops are practical in nature, designed to give tools that are useful. One of our speakers this year is Mindy Makant from Lenoir Rhyne University. There is also an opportunity for ELCA Interim Pastors from around the country to gather during the conference for conversation and mutual support.
- Interim Ministry Network Annual Conference
- June 18-21 St. Louis, MO
- “Discovering a New Song”
The Interim Ministry Network is on the forefront of training, education and support for those serving as transitional pastors. It is an ecumenical and interfaith organization dedicated to the training and equipping of those who serve faith communities during times of interim and major transition. Every year there is an annual conference featuring speakers and themes that engage this work not only academically but practically. This year the conference will feature Mindy Makant from Lenoir Rhyne University as one of the leaders. The theme connects the focus point of “Heritage” with the focus point of “Future”. Speakers and workshops provide practical insights and tools for this specialized ministry. There also is an opportunity to connect with other ELCA interim pastors from around the country. The post conference workshop will be led by the faculty of IMN and invite a deeper dive into the essentials of Transitional Ministry. This Post Conference workshop is unique and new this year, but can serve as an invitation to those who have not had training and reconnection for those who may have received training years ago. If you have any questions about this event, you can contact The Rev. Dr. Keith Copeland who is team lead for the event. He can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
